Former Governer of Ark. and future presidential candidate Mike Huckabee will speak at the University of the Cumberlands convocation later this April.
Huckabee, a former southern baptist pastor and avid musician, is scheduled to visit Williamsburg April 6th and speak about Leadership in America. Knowing how Christian values are incorporated into his daily life at the University of the Cumberlands Huckabee was a prime canidate for a guest speaker.
His presidential campaign takes him many places around the country and Williamsburg is another stop on the list on his presidential campaign. “I think it will be an interesting event," says University of the Cumberlands student Chas Hyde. “There are not many times when someone of his social status somes to speak in Williamsburg.”
Not only will Huckabee be giving his speech, but world renowned musician Lee Greenwood will be displaying his musical talents as well. Greenwood who is well known for his hit song  “God Bless the USA” has previously won CMA song of the year and will compliment the Republican canidate with his music.
